I am Brandi K. Adams, an Assistant Professor of English at Arizona State University.

In my work in Early Modern/Renaissance Studies and Literature, I present a history of reading and books as told through early plays—staged both at theaters and the universities—that were printed and published in England during the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. My interests lie at the intersections of book history, history of reading, Early Modern English drama, premodern critical race studies, and gender along with modern editorial practices of early English drama.
